Solid hardwood construction is used in every piece of a bedroom set made by Antigua. There is no MDF in these pieces and each drawer uses dovetailed joints and wood-on-wood glides. Each piece of hardware attached to those drawers is unique in its own right. Hand-wrought and hand-forged in their ironsmith shop, the slight variation evident in each piece of hardware is a testament to their artisanal production.

The remarkable finishing process of the furniture often employs 25 or more steps to bring out the true grain and character of the exotic hardwoods. All of these time consuming and thoughtful steps results in a beautiful, resilient piece of furniture with a remarkable “hand.”
