Gat Creek goes to great lengths to build a bookcase that will withstand the tests of time. They use only the highest grade of solid Appalachian black cherry purchased through purveyors who employ careful, sustainable harvesting practices. The small dark patterns and slight variations in color are natural and occur as cherry grows in the forest. These variations in no way lessen the quality and durability of the bookshelves.
